On the morning of August 14th, 2012 our one-year round the world trip started at the train station of Hinwil. With a little bit more luggage than originally planned we stumbled into the train to Paris. It was not our first visit to Paris and it will for sure not be our last. Our next destination was Brussels. We have never been there and thought it might be about time. Although it is a very nice city there was nothing outstanding. Brussels is the Switzerland of the cities: very neutral.
Another train ride later we arrived in London, which was in the middle of the Olympics and the Paralympics. We enjoyed the nice weather and the buzzing city before heading to Southampton to catch the boat to New York. Summarizing our city trip start you can say, it was for sure a great one!
